What do you even put in a first post?

I'm basically only making this post so the start of my... page? feed? blog? post-chost? isn't a big ol' pile of old fic from way back, idthink anyone is going to see this who doesn't already know me from elsewhere but I hate a blank feed page >.>''

I just copied my introduction from Cohost, and stickied it while I was at it. But yeah, The Horror Vacui is Real.

If you're new here from Cohost, then you might like [community profile] newcomers which is covering the shutdown and providing resources about Dreamwidth. You can introduce yourself in the Friending Meme or find your Cohost friends if you wish. These are also resources you can share with other folks riding the wave from Cohost.

Things people commonly put there include but are not limited to:

* A general idea where they live.

* Where else to find them online.

* What kinds of things they like and/or blog about.

* Their expectations or hopes for audience interaction. Some people have a separate post for their friending parameters, civility standards, blanket statement, etc. but if those are short they may just get rolled together.

You can copy a template from a friendzy or other source. [community profile] newcomers actually has two: the Introduction / Friending Meme and a shorter one in Find Your Cohost Friends.
